Ponderings of an Equestrian Professional

Why do we ride?

If, like me, you love that between the ears view then you know why you ride.

Is that all there is to it? Seeing those ears, and the bits of mud you missed on the ears?

For me it isn't. Don't get me wrong, I love being on the back of my horse, but my goal is to develop our partnership and get out inside the white boards, and move up through the dressage levels.

Do you have a similar goal?

I know that to achieve my goal I need a team of people to support me, a riding coach, a fitness coach, my medical team and, last but by no means least the team who help me care for my horse.

Each of my team members has an important job, but I am the one who has to pull it all together, and that is not easy.

My Centre 10 training has given me incredible tools to help me structure a part of training that I have always done intuitively, helping people focus on how they feel about what they are doing, guiding them to improve performance bit by bit.

I have been developing my professional identity and you may have seen my "strap line" is 'Connecting You & Your Horse' and you may wonder what that means.

I truly hope to help people improve the relationship with their horses, just as I am striving to improve mine.

It doesn't matter where you want to improve your partnership with your horse, I hope that my experience can help me to help you. It could be a horse care area you wish you understood more, a management issue or how to control breathing and nerves at a competition.

If there is an area you would like some help with please let me know in the comments. I am more than happy to arrange off horse clinics as well as mounted sessions.
